Individuals will receive one to one sculpting instruction using water-based clay from Philippe Faraut, while still being encouraged to explore their own styles. Live nude models will be used during class.
This seminar will focus on the full seated figure; nude or draped from a live model in water-based clay. Several lectures and demonstrations, on proportions, anatomy and the use of planes in the construction of the body and head will be provided. In addition, time will be spent on the dynamic of drapery. The technique of preparation for firing water-based clay will be discussed. Firing services will not be provided during the workshop.
All materials are provided for use during the seminar. Class hours are from 9-4:30 daily. Enrollment ranges from 14-18 students.
