This class will be held at: PCF Studios in Honeoye, NY.
Individuals will receive one to one sculpting instruction from Philippe Faraut, using water-based clay while still being encouraged to explore their own styles.
Attending students range from beginners to professional artists. The goal of this animal portrait seminar is to teach sculptors how to improve their techniques and speed through the use of blocking-in methods which allows the artist to achieve precise volumes from the beginning stages regardless of the animal species. Reference includes the use of plaster art casts. Students are also encouraged to bring their own quality photographic reference. Please note that this class will focus on mammals.

All materials are provided for use during the seminar, however firing services will not be available. Class hours are from 9-4:30 daily. Enrollment ranges from 14-18 students.
A non-refundable, non-transferable deposit is required for registration. Balance of $395 for the seminar will be due 6 weeks prior to the first day of class. A link will be emailed with a reminder at that time to pay online or payment can be mailed. Once balance is paid it is non-refundable.
