This clay modeling tool designed by Philippe Faraut is used specifically to define the planes in the initial stages of his sculptures. Each is hand-made at his New York studio from domestic hardwood. The ergonomic handle makes it a very comfortable sculpting tool to use when modeling in clay. Two coats of varnish are applied for ease of use and to extend the life of the tool.
