This sculpture was a finalist in the American Portrait Society's 2002 Annual Exhibition in New York City, as well as the recipient of the Haley Steele Gallery Award for Mastery of Medium at the 2003 Viselaya Sculpture Competition held in Massachusetts. "Senegal" was chosen to be included in the top 100 Finalists in the Sculpture Category in the 2nd International ARC Salon™ Competition.
